Lucknow-born-Mumbai-based Tamil actor Shiva Prakash who started shooting some action scenes for the Manees Singh film “Welcome to Chennai”, had a fall on Monday morning and had to be taken to a hospital for X-ray and check-ups. The unit had started shooting for the film on Saturday.
“An x-ray has revealed a hairline fracture in Shiva Prakash’s elbow. He fell while jumping from the second floor of a building and instead of landing on his feet as was planned, he landed on his side and has fractured his elbow, producer Manees Singh told an IndyaWire.com reporter on Monday night. The film which is directed by V Ganesha Reddy, and is produced under the banner of Vrindaavan Films, also stars Nisha Parikh, Mahek Singh and Shree Dham along with four others.
According to Manees Singh, the film Welcome to Chennai is a comedy film and is the story of a 22-year-old college youth born in North India who shifts to Chennai for work after completing his post-graduation. In Chennai he falls in love with a co-worker, but is confronted by a gang of ruffians, who give him a hard time. “As Shiva Prakash has been brought up in North India, we found him suitable for the film. The film is expected to go on floor in mid-September,” Singh said.
